What material is used for your Jewelry?

All our jewelry is made with love, and variety precious metals based on specific requirements for different designs and fashion styles. Here’s more about our high-quality materials and how to keep them looking great for many years:

Sterling Silver

The world’s most used, and loved, silver alloy. Aka .925 Sterling Silver. Made from 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals like copper that add strength and hardness. Pure silver is too soft—it gets all banged up, which is why we steer clear.
  • It’s the whitest, brightest metal and goes with everything
  • Soft on sensitive skin
  • A precious metal that is affordable.
  • Durable and lasts forever.
  • Easy to keep nice and bright.
HOW TO CARE FOR IT
  • Store somewhere airtight when not wearing—sterling silver naturally reacts to oxygen and air pollutants, which causes it to tarnish
  • Apply lotions, perfumes and sprays before putting on your jewelry so you don’t get it exposed to chemicals.
  • Don’t wear when swimming or hot-tubbing
  • To remove tarnish & restore shine, clean with a polishing cloth only.

14k Solid Gold

14 Karat Solid Gold is an alloy of pure gold and other metals (e.g. copper and zinc) in the ratio of 14 parts Gold and 10 parts other metals. Pure gold is too soft, so it’s rarely used to make jewelry. A lower karat means less gold content but also results in a metal that’s more durable and less “yellow” in color.
  • Lasts forever and ever and won’t tarnish (Very Expensive)
  • Strong, durable and very low maintenance (i.e. marriage material)
  • Looks amazing on all skin tones.
HOW TO CARE FOR IT
  • Use a mix of lemon juice and baking soda to restore your 14k gold piece to its sparkly self
  • When not wearing, store your jewelry in a pouch or airtight ziplock bag to prevent scratches.

Gold-Plating/Gold Vermeil

A layer of gold electroplated onto a base metal of sterling silver and other metals. Plating comes in various thicknesses from way too thin (e.g., 0.175 microns) known as gold-flash up to thicker layers (e.g., 1 – 2.5 microns) which we are the kind we use to make our pieces last up to 5-10 years with tender loving care.

  • Gives the same look as solid gold with a warm gold color.
  • The gold does not flake off or tarnish like most costume jewelry.
  • Can last for years with proper care, but the gold plating on the outside will eventually fade with age.
  • Significantly more affordable than solid gold
  • Hypoallergenic (nickel free) and awesome for sensitive skin because of its solid gold exterior layers.

Tips for caring

  • Apply lotions, perfumes and sprays before putting on jewelry to avoid from chemical exposure.
  • Avoid while swimming and hot tubbing!
  • Clean your jewelry with a dry cloth to wipe off makeup, skin oils, dirt and bad energy.
  • When not wearing, store in a pouch or airtight ziplock bag to prevent chemicals from reacting with the piece and to keep it scratch-free and deliriously happy.

CZ Zirconia Gemstones

Cubic Zirconia jewelry has become the most popular alternative gems because it comes close to that glamour and elegance of the natural diamond. It is hard to tell the difference between a CZ crystal and a diamond stone. Both are brilliant and stand out due to their beautiful appearance against the light.

Compared to diamonds, cubic zirconia is significantly cheaper. ... Although cubic zirconia is still durable, it does not compare to the hardness of a diamond; its rating on the Mohs Scale of Hardness is 8.5. However, because it's artificially created in a lab, cubic zirconia is inherently flawless and can be produced in many colors.

Tips For Care
  • Store somewhere airtight when not wearing—sterling silver naturally reacts to oxygen and air pollutants, which causes it to tarnish
  • Apply lotions, perfumes and sprays before putting on your jewelry so you don’t get it exposed to chemicals.
  • Don’t wear when swimming or hot-tubbing
  • Like diamonds can be cleaned with small brush with water and soap. be careful about surrounding metals.
